First of all, the speech he was referring to was in Turkey and the statement he is referring to is this:
"we have a very large Christian population -- we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."
Now, I will not explain further on why my friend is stupid, because he is. Either he actually listened to the speech, in that case I need to call his former University and ask them to revoke his Bachelors degree because the man needs a few more English classes. The alternative is that he did not listen to the speech, in which case I wish they gave out common sense degrees to revoke his.
Had he heard it from someone, I am sure he heard this from his parents, his neighbors, his friends or maybe even uncle Rush but if he believed it without further investigation, Ladies and Gentlemen I give you stupidity.
dude some people just dont care about these things like you do, dont make them stupid
ReplyDeleteYes, your friend was right! Just to mention this term "Muslim" in his speech means he acknowledges Muslims. He should have referred to "Muslims" as "Infidels" then he would have been OK! Capitu?
